Synopsis: In this play, which deals with the aftereffects of the September 11 attack, firefighter Nick and editor Joan come together in the wake of tragedy to memorialize the lives of eight of Nick’s men, who were killed in the attack. Over the course of a long afternoon, they craft poignant remembrances of the fallen while tapping directly into the shared humanity that many Americans experienced in the shadow of the fallen towers. Since its debut, less than three months after 9/11, this play has been performed in 48 states and on four continents; its themes of friendship, resilience in the face of immense loss, and the enduring bonds of shared humanity resonates beyond one warm Tuesday in September.

About Corchaug Repertory Theatre:

Corchaug Repertory Theatre springs from East End Mobile Theatre, an earlier company founded by Artistic Director Colin Palmer in 2017. The mission of Corchaug Repertory Theatre is to provide high-quality, thought-provoking theatre to the East End of Long Island. It is a place for theatre artists to explore new and old ideas alike. By using a company of resident artists, productions benefit from a communal creative process that bleeds into how the audience experiences the work.
