Our bilingual Client Support Service Associates are a lifeline for individuals and families facing various challenges and crisis situations, offering a range of support to provide stability, economic security and enhance their well-being through individualized case management.
Individualized Case Management
At CAST, we offer a range of support services to ensure our community’s needs are met. Our Emergency Assistance program provides vital aid for urgent expenses such as rent, utilities, and medical bills. Our Benefit Application Assistance program helps individuals navigate the complexities of accessing public benefits.
In 2023, we provided case management services to 742 families and assisted 87 families with benefit applications. We also supported 54 families with $58,280 in emergency assistance grants and 500 gallons of fuel oil, paid directly to vendors.
Sharing Room & Furniture Connection
At CAST, we offer new and gently used clothing and household items free of charge to our clients through our distribution program. For those in need of furniture, we connect clients with community members donating gently used furniture items.
In 2023, our Sharing Room welcomed 7,458 visits, providing essential support to our community. Learn more about donation items and hours.
Workforce Connections
For clients seeking employment, we provide comprehensive support to enhance their job search experience. Our services include assistance with job searches and applications, expert help with resume writing, and personalized connections to local businesses that are actively hiring. Our goal is to empower our clients with the tools and opportunities they need to secure meaningful employment.
Seasonal Programs
Our Client Support team organizes special drives throughout the year to provide additional support during key times. The School Supply Drive, distributes backpacks filled with essential supplies to K-12 students—529 backpacks were distributed in 2023. In October, our Coat & Formal Wear Drive collects winter coats and formal attire for all ages. During December, our Holiday Toy Drive brings joy to families by providing toys, games, books and clothing to children—575 kids received toys in 2023.
