Help Your Neighbors in Need
CAST helps hundreds of people every week who are food insecure, in need of clothes, who live in substandard housing, face emergency situations, and struggle to make ends meet. A donation to CAST provides food, clothing, heat/electric, school supplies and access to programs that support school success, adult education, and job-readiness skills.
With your support, we provide critical assistance and help move families towards self-sufficiency.

Donations can also be mailed to CAST at PO Box 1566, Southold, NY 11971 or delivered to the CAST office in Southold at 53930 Main Road.
As we move through 2025, our commitment to alleviating hunger and supporting our neighbors remains unwavering. However, recent federal cuts are placing immense strain on food banks nationwide, including ours. The cancellation of over $1 billion in USDA funding and halted food deliveries from The Emergency Food Assistance Program are threatening essential resources, while Emergency Food & Shelter Program funding through FEMA is also at risk.
At the same time, food prices have surged by 20% since 2020, making it harder than ever for families to afford basic necessities. The demand for our services continues to grow, and we need your help now more than ever.
To meet this urgent need, we are launching Double the Impact: The Lawrence Foundation Food Relief Match. Every dollar you donate will be matched, up to $50,000, thanks to the generosity of The Lawrence Foundation. That means your gift will go twice as far in providing food and critical support to more than 1,500 families in our community.

Non-perishable Food & Sharing Room Donations
CAST accepts donations of non-perishable food items and grocery store gift cards DAILY from 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm.
We accept Sharing Room donations Monday, Wednesday, or Friday 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm.
Sharing Room items CAST accepts:
- Gently used clothing (in-season only)
- Small household items
- Dishes, pots, pans, utensils
- Sheets, towels, blankets
- New school supplies
- Toys
- Gently used baby items
